Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Street Sweeping Truck Driver. As a Street Sweeping Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating a street sweeping truck to remove debris, dirt, and litter from roadways, parking lots, and other public areas. Your primary goal will be to maintain clean and safe environments for pedestrians, vehicles, and the community. This role requires a valid class G driver’s license, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate street sweeping equipment effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Operation of Street Sweeping Truck: Operate Street sweeping truck to effectively clean roadways, parking lots, sidewalks, and other designated areas.
2. Follow Designated Routes and Schedules: Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure thorough sweeping coverage and timely completion of tasks.
3. Use of Street Sweeping Equipment: Operate truck-mounted sweeping equipment, including brushes, blowers, and vacuum systems, to remove debris and dirt from surfaces.
4. Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect and maintain street sweeping equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines while operating the street sweeping truck, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
6. Waste Disposal: Properly dispose of collected debris and litter at designated disposal sites.
7. Hazard Reporting: Report any safety hazards, road damage, or other concerns to supervisors or appropriate authorities.
8. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including routes, sweeping activities, and maintenance performed.
9. Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and the public to ensure a coordinated and efficient street sweeping operation.
10. Traffic Compliance: Adhere to traffic laws, signals, and signs while operating the street sweeping truck to ensure the safety of pedestrians and other drivers.

Requirements and Qualifications:

1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Valid Class G Driver’s License: Possess a valid class G driver’s license for operating a street sweeping truck.
3. Previous Truck Driving Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver, preferably in street sweeping or a related field, is preferred.
4. Excellent Driving Skills and Clean Record: Demonstrate excellent driving skills and maintain a clean driving record.
5. Equipment Operation and Maintenance Knowledge: Possess knowledge of street sweeping equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures.
6. Safety Consciousness: Familiarity with safety regulations and guidelines related to operating commercial vehicles and street sweeping operations.
7. Adaptability to Weather and Road Conditions: Ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles and equipment safely in various weather and road conditions.
8. Attention to Detail and Schedule Adherence: Display strong attention to detail and the ability to follow designated routes and schedules.
9. Physical Fitness: Maintain physical fitness to perform repetitive tasks, including sitting, driving, and operating sweeping equipment for extended periods.
10. Communication Skills: Exhibit good communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and the public.
11. Reliability and Punctuality: Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic to ensure timely completion of tasks.
