Soft Service Cleaner

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Soft Service Cleaner. As a Soft Service Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various areas, including common spaces and shared facilities. Your primary focus will be on performing cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for building occupants and visitors. This role requires strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning Duties: Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with established schedules and procedures, including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface disinfection.
  2. Waste Management: Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables appropriately, adhering to recycling guidelines and maintaining cleanliness of trash receptacles.
  3. Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring fixtures, surfaces, and amenities are properly cleaned, stocked, and maintained.
  4. Surface Care: Clean and maintain surfaces such as windows, mirrors, glass partitions, countertops, and furniture to ensure a polished and presentable appearance.
  5. Floor Care: Maintain the cleanliness and condition of floors, including carpeted, tiled, and hardwood surfaces. Perform tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and floor polishing as required.
  6. Supply Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and consumables to ensure availability for daily cleaning operations. Report any supply shortages or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  7. Compliance with Safety and Health Standards: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing cleaning tasks, ensuring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safety guidelines.
  8. Reporting and Communication: Report any maintenance or repair needs, safety hazards, or other concerns to the supervisor or relevant personnel. Maintain open and effective communication with team members and supervisors.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Previous Experience: Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial or residential setting, is preferred but not mandatory. Training can be provided for motivated candidates.
  3. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of the premises.
  4. Time Management: Effective time management skills to complete cleaning tasks within designated timeframes and adhere to schedules.
  5. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects weighing around 30lbs. Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  6. Integrity and Reliability: Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and integrity in performing job responsibilities.
  7. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve shared goals and maintain a harmonious work environment.
  8. Communication Skills: Basic verbal communication skills to understand instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  9. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate cleaning requirements and special events.
